To volunteer, call the Volunteer Coordinator at 422-4828. Below is a quick sketch of what's available:
Work on the Building Site:
Working on the building site is possible for small to medium sized groups much of the time. For large groups, sponsoring a house is the best way to get onto a work site.
The committee is involved in many hidden aspects of the building process.
Family Advocates work with our partner families as they work towards receiving their new home. This is a great way to see the human side of what we do. Training is provided, and volunteer hours are flexible. Click here for more details.
Volunteers are needed to help staff the ReStore, where we sell new and used donations that are surplus to our construction needs. Volunteer responsibilities would be to help unload donations and work with customers.
Did you know that 5 million cans will build a home? Aluminum can route runners are needed. We supply the van and the gasoline; volunteers commit four hours a week. Monday through Saturday routes are available.
Donation Pick Up
Drivers are needed for our donation pick up truck, and someone to help load and unload it.
Family Selection Committee:
Conducts the selection process for families who are willing to partner with Habitat for Humanity.
Family Support Committee:
Plans home owner events. Works with partner families one on one, helping them get to the point where they receive their home.
Fund Raising Committee:
Plans and executes events and fundraisers.
Public Relations Committee:
Reaches out to Churches and Corporations. Prepares publications.Maintains the web site.
Finds new volunteers. Conducts volunteer orientations.
If you would like to volunteer for any of these opportunities, or call 422-4828.
